Frequently Asked Questions
This page answers common questions before you install X/Twitter Spam Blocker.
What Does X/Twitter Spam Blocker Do?
It hides matching adult-spam replies and off-platform lure content on supported X/Twitter pages, then lets you review risky accounts before blocking them.
Will It Block Accounts Automatically?
Not in the current version; accounts are only blocked after you select them in the floating review panel and confirm the action.
What Kinds of Spam Does It Detect?
The current version focuses on adult-spam replies, off-platform lure patterns, unwanted promotional replies, and related high-risk account signals, with more scam categories planned over time.
Does It Send My X/Twitter Data to a Server?
No, in the current version settings, statistics, activity history, and cleanup records stay on your device.
Why Does It Need Access to X/Twitter?
It needs access to supported X/Twitter pages to inspect visible content, hide matching spam, show the review panel, and perform user-confirmed block actions.
What If It Hides or Flags Something by Mistake?
You can temporarily turn off filtering in settings to show hidden content again, and flagged accounts are not blocked unless you select and confirm them.
Can I Undo a Block?
Yes, open the Activity Log, find the blocked account record, click the ScreenName link, and unblock the account manually on X/Twitter.
